This is incredibly strong. Somewhat Randomly Overpowered
I would suggest the price is right for the card advantage, but the creature presence is too much. How about it randomly chooses creatures, but charges you the creatures cost +1. This way you can't manilpulate out 3 free Ray of Light and if you want to get a decent creature, you will have a better chance when you have no
or
, otherwise you are always going to get your chance ruined by a spark.
I changed my view because when setup, the random power can be far above the curve. Imagine you had 20
then dropped these, you could get 3 Ruby Dragons from each shard, you might also get 3 spark. But generally you're well ahead.
The bold part intrigues me. You mean that, after playing this card...
Example:
-I have 6 Earth Quanta left after playing Shard of Potential. Upon 'creature' generation, I lose 4

quanta from generating a random elite Graboid on the field (originally it costs 3

quanta, but the +1 cost adds to it), and then Shard of Potential loses 1 tick of a counter off it's turn count?
maybe it can go away like sundial after its been used? 1 turn 3 monster deal instead of 3 turns.
No, because that would make it easy for 'creature spam' should you have a decent amount of quanta generation - or in other words, supernova spam (NOT GOOD). You'd overflow the board with your creatures which may or may not be overpowered/expensive/durable, which is why I have it so that it generates a creature each turn over a duration of time. This way, you can counter it via permanent destruction or single-target crowd control (one creature at a time = easy to hit with an Otyugh or other spells).
