Thanks for the replies, i fixed the spelling and declared the value of N.
to Bloodshadow, the shards power is dependant on the opponents poison stack, hence dependability, if the contest wasn't virtue restricted i would have called it "Shard of Toxin"
The bold part actually makes it LESS dependable, because technically speaking, you're relying on a special mechanic that can be countered by a very specific spell. In most cases, yes, Poison is pretty reliable at taking your opponent down, but otherwise, if the opponent has Purify on them, then this shard is actually NOT a very dependable creature to rely on (most likely because you might be healing them with enough purifying counters on them).
I still think it's a good idea that works with the new poison additions in 1.25, but aside from relying on scorpions, the new Pufferfish, Arsenic/Deadly Poison, I don't think it's a very dependable shard outside any deck that uses poison.
Oh well.
