NOTES:
EDIT: This card's stat boost STACKS, but the time bubble is always for just 1 turn.

This card only saves the creature if the lethal damage was exactly enough to kill.
Eg: Unupgraded  is hit by Owls eye (does 3 damage to 3 hp creature). Oty survives with 1 hp thanks to shard, and lives another turn.
Or
Blue Crawler is poisoned down to 1 hp (with 1 poison counter) he would have died after attacking but survives for 1 more round in a time bubble.

But: If the lethal damage =/> target's hp+1, then the creature still dies.

Main use of this shard would probably lie in supporting against creature control in mass/rush decks, or to slow down death/darkness duos.

CURATOR COMMENT
This Card is Crucible Approved for the Shard Madness! Competition.
Edits of this card after this post may Void Approval.

If I can clarify how it works...

Suppose your field is filled up with 2|2 skeletons and you have a Shard of Mercy permanent out.

Situation A:
-Your skeletons are hit with a Rain of Fire, and because 3 damage is greater than 2, they still die despite having Shard of Mercy out.

Situation B:
-You have an Eclipse or Night Fall card out, allowing your skeletons to be buffed up to 3|3 or 4|3. When Rain of Fire comes, Shard of Mercy places them all in a time bubble with 1 HP, thus letting them survive for 'one more turn' afterward, correct?

That is correct. I don't know if the effect should stack, but if so, probably the time bubble should not.

I don't really see the point of this card. I think just the +1 hp would be enough, the time bubble makes it close to useless for most purposes, especially since you don't usually do exactly enough damage to kill a creature (except for cards like fire lance and lightning - they correspond to many creatures' HP).

I think I'll make it stack (up to +6 hp upon a normally lethal strike) but I'll keep the time bubble due to the low cost.
