If you have created a card for the Shard Revolution Card Design Competition, post the cards here. DO NOT CREATE A SEPARATE TOPIC FOR THE SHARD.

Please do not spam the thread with comments of other card ideas. Posts will be removed as necessary to keep this topic as clean as possible. Also, do not spam any Card Curator's inbox with PM's to review their card ideas for the competition, as such requests may be deleted.

I think the card is pretty nice and would work well, open up a good number of possible decks, and has a nice Gravity perk (ok, granted, Gravity permanents are not as awesome as Air or Time ones, but Animated Titans, Catapults and possibly this shield (http://elementscommunity.org/forum/index.php/topic,27845.msg379406#msg379406) would be enough to justify this). It may be a good idea to swap creatures and permanents, but I like it better the way it is now...

Detachment as in Zen, as in Tranquility, as in Order, as in what Gravity represents in its opposition to Entropy, or Chaos. For some reason when I typed this up I kept getting an image in my head of Yoda in Dagobah smiling calmly as he levitated Luke's X-Wing from the swamp. Yoda would probably be a zen master if he existed. Are there masters of zen? Time to Google this.

EDIT: majofa seems to have taken "Detachment", so I switched to Impartiality on Kiebur's suggestion.
And there are indeed zen masters! They're just not always called that.

CHANGED due to a clarification in the rules that the card must be Other.

EDIT2: Also, a clarification: Attacks STILL happen, you just don't take any damage. Therefore attack effects like Neurotoxin, Venom, and quanta generation still happens. Enemy creatures will also suffer poison/aflatoxin. They don't take shield effects however.

texts a bit wordy, but cant think how to word it better :/ . also probably needs hefty balancing, because im terrible at that XP.
Also: since the new shards are meant to stack (i seem to have read this somewhere im pretty sure) that would maybe change the damage to 2N, 3N etc. Now im worried that ive OP'd it... ah well.

A good idea if you have antimattered stuff, or other things that you don't want to attack. Like for fire walls.

[EDIT:] removed upped shard's image. upped shard will cost 5 to play, and it's ability will cost 2 darkness.

[EDIT 2:] changed element to darkness, a small change to ability, and made the cost to play just other.

Time to counter all those gravity shards with another entropy one:

• I put it into entropy because of the random nature of the card, not because of the virtue itself.
• I'm already laughing at the people packing nova's to fuel this card, and then drawing a nova after they have played this card: Woohoo, nova for free

[li]To address the questions asked in the trials thread: this effect will only work for that specific card, not any other copies of that card or any copies made with fractal or mitosis. The  way I intended is was as a minor counter too reverse time/eternity, and as a way to make the game less calculateble (as in, hmm, he doesn't have the quanta to play a new wings/dim shield, so this is the time to play). As pointed out by Jen-I, yes, that pushes you to playing mono or duo decks, which is only good (however a OTK dragon chimera deck could benefit from this too).[/li]

Shard of Self-reliance

 - The card rely on your own resources to speed up an element
 - follows this principle[10:03:54 PM] zanzarino: All neutral but each one will be much better if used with a particular element
 - allows a bit of quanta acceleration to all elements but also gives a decent advantage to the slowest & most expensive element

notes:
This is for the Aether variant of the shard series.  The effect is a status similar to momentum, utilizes the icon on the card and can be lobotomized.  The +2|+2 bonus lends itself to giving addition benefit to aether infused decks.  The wording may change, open to suggestions.
