The main problem I've seen with the ability to reuse any spell is Nightmare; reusable Nightmare essentially prevents your opponent from drawing any card for the rest of the game. I don't imagine it would be too hard to maintain with this, either - 5 and 2 per turn is child's play.

Good point about Silence and Nightmare I feel foolish. I was worried about Thunderstorm or Lightning. How many turns would the orb need to be delayed per usage to be balanced? They would be paying 6|4 or 4|2 per usage with Silence and Nightmare.

Magic has an entire genre of copying effects. Let me check.

No. The closest are the Scepter (http://gatherer.wizards.com/Pages/Card/Details.aspx?multiverseid=212626) and the Mirror (http://gatherer.wizards.com/Pages/Card/Details.aspx?multiverseid=47930). However I did not use either as inspiration and the idea of a Wand (A permanent that stores a spell for repeated use) is universal in fantasy.

Here are the updated versions. I hope these are more balanced.

This way Arcane Eye | Arcane Orb + 1 Silence would cost 8 |6 + 9 |6 + 2 cards (1 being a silence) to mimic 2 silences.

I like doubling the cost, but for that to remain mostly practical it would have to stay relatively low. ex. 1 -> 2 -> 4-> 8, with 8 being the max. Delay allows for a better use in my opinion.

I think you may be right. The doubling cost is too universal of a nerf and not sufficiently targeted at the problem combo. I will leave it as an option in case people think having multiples with delay 2 is a problem. However it takes 3 Arcane Orbs and 3 Silences at delay 2 to create a silence lock. 6 specific cards is the OTK/combo win condition range.
