Silent Shadow
NOTES:
The damage is any damage taken from the past turn. Poison, creatures, weapon, etc. Healing does not reduce the amount of damage taken for this card's effect. The unupgraded version rounds the damage dealt up, while the upgraded rounds the damage dealt down.
SERIES:
For the Name Card Contest.
This card is pretty much meant to be abused with light's healing abilities of holy flash and miracle.

only 1/4 of the damage? thats 5 if your opponent does 20 damage in 1 turn. even less than 5 if your opponent dishes out less. i suppose this would work out well if you run a aflatoxon based deck, but it seems too situational

The theme seems to fit more for the target player though...

In your table, the ability is different from the card art's description, where 'past' should be 'previous', and the rounded down part isn't even on the card (you can explain it in the notes though, nonetheless).

That said, this would REALLY make Miracle a god-send (no pun intended) in any mono- :light deck with this card, as you can potentially heal your self up to full while dealing a good chunk of damage back at the opponent (or a creature!) for the a somewhat cheap cost. It would also make False Gods stupidly easy if you managed to boost your health high enough with SoD's and Stone Skins - find a good way to stall for a bit, take a crapload of damage one round, then use this card followed by a Miracle and rinse and repeat until you kill them.

Personally though, you should have both cards made so that the reflected damage is divided by 2, but the cost drops significantly (say from 7 to 5 or 5 to 3).

Does the description of the card and the effect table really have to be completely accurate? :P
I ran out of room on the card...

Also, this card wouldn't that good for FG farming because the process would be long and boring, you could perhaps get 2-3 games finished in the time you get one finished with a deck that utilizes this deck.

I prefer the way this card works, gives a reason to upgrade this card.

Unfortunately, that's how all of the other card ideas are. :P

If you don't have enough room on the card, you could a) edit the description completely to find another way to fit all of your information with the correct font and font size, and b) you never know when there's going to be a random player who will ask the inevitable question of: "Hey, did you update your card? How come the description in the table isn't the same as the one on the card art?" ;)

(See my 'Description Workshop' (http://elementscommunity.org/forum/index.php/topic,9851.0.html) if you really want to figure out a way to include the 'Rounding Down' part in the card)

As for how 'the card works', I guess I can agree with that. The upgrade to me just feels... not so epic in comparison to the other upgraded :light cards. I mean, Holy Flash is practically free and can be splashed in any deck, Miracle receives a huge cost reduction of 3 :light quanta, etc. This is one of the few cards that actually has an INCREASE in a quanta cost to justify the increased effect, but I feel that if an opponent deals an average of 30 damage per round (that's a pretty decent amount of damage) with his creatures, dealing 15 damage back rather than 10 just doesn't feel very 'upgraded' to me.
