yes, but if you read the description, 80% of what is written is "this is a permanent version of psion" finishing with "also does other stuff"

Psion was simply the first spell damage idea submitted (to my knowledge). This does not mean that other people can't have the same idea; spell damage is quite an easy idea to think of. Plus the orbs fit thematically.

In short, not a rip-off.

sure, easy idea to think of- nobody had thought of it for ~2+ years, then all of the sudden after i come up with it everyone applies it to other ideas and claims it as their own.  in short- is a rip off.

2+ years? Elements hasn't been around for that long. The Card Ideas section has only been around for a year and a bit.

You can't claim such a broad mechanic as your own. And why do you care? Your idea's in the Armory already.

Let's put it this way. There has to be a first person to submit such an idea. It just so happens that that person was you (hell, it may have not even been you). Does that mean others can't use a similar mechanic? No.

Also, Psion converts physical damage to spell damage; orbs have the equivalent of 0 attack and deal spell damage as an ability.

Spell damage is actually a relatively common mechanic - there were a few "wand" weapon cards a short while ago that did the same thing, IIRC, and it was suggested somewhere in an even older thread too.

IMHO, the concept is common enough - the secondary effect of the Orbs helps to set them aside from being simply "spell weapons" (in contrast Psion focuses on the spell damage mechanic as did some of the other weapon suggestions).

As Xeno ninja'd me on this - your card is in the Armory already and would probably get the most credit if Zanz puts in the game. It's well-kn enough that majofa does not have to cite as an inspiration.

To put it to rest, this was inspired by a card my brother (not Jaymanfu) thought of in 2010. He plays elements and but doesn't post.

The text, however, I will admit I got from your thread. I only searched for it after I had made the cards, and was looking for the best way to word it.

weapon is a thing to deal damage and shield is a thing to defence yourself.   for me,   new slot mean new kind of mechanic for permanent.   and i made this Form it can help you do anything great.   generate some dangerous card,  generate much quanta,  or other epic ability.   but all ability have it own cost.  whenever you transform from your normal form,  you will gain some great ability but lost something other than card cost too.   this is how my slot work.  Blazing Blazing Form will do damage to you each turn (after your weapon attack) to generate 1 fire bolt(fire lance when upgraded).   easy concept for destructive element....  and becareful for your hand.   you will gain nothing if it already full but still make 7 damage.    Illuminus Illuminus Form stop all your pillar and pendulum to generate quantum...   but itself can generate much quantum....   i know this card can't improve rolhope deck...  but who care?  Hematite Hematite Form work like SoD + SoG but a bit slow.  in can't do anything ultil your next turn (the turn you cast it still be 0 turn played..)  but if you can stall enough it will be hard, harder and hardest to kill you

you pretty much reinforced my point by posting links to recent posts but not older ones.

im not going to say nothing when i see someone pulling another 'trickster' with one of my ideas.  did i say i wanted it removed from the competition? no.  do i want people to take the point into account when voting? yep.
