We've all seen a Mark card at least once, right?  If so, I don't need to explain the first half of either of them.

Fortitude last for one turn.  During which, your creatures, permanents, quanta, and hand can not be affected.  This also affects your actions since, once Fortitude is activated, you cannot target your own cards, use Nova | Supernova, or use any extra drawing via Precognition.  Of course, passive quanta generating from creatures and pillars are unaffected by Fortitude.

One pillar and one tower, to be precise. Marks should just generate 1 quantum per turn, per usual.
Still. The game rules allow for more than one mark in a deck. Packing six upped marks is packing 12 pillars in 6 cards.
