+5 damage is probably worth closer to 1 quanta than 2 quanta.

Would it be more balanced to have Pounce cost 1 :darkness for both, and to have it increase attack by 4/6 respectively ?

1 :darkness|1 :life could work
1 :darkness|1 :darkness could work if the upgrade received an upgrade
While there is a stark difference between +4 and +6 attack, there is not much difference between +4 damage and +6 damage.

Looks cool. I agree that both should be 1 darkness to cast pounce, and instead increase attack damage.
