ART: IDEA: ji412jo and dawn to dusk NOTES: stacks. sanc protects this cards where Shard of Void, Mindflayer, Silence and Nightmare it uses the ability of SoV (hp drain) while comboing with silence (preventing opponent to play cards) fun challenge this, i can see why it was so popular way back when. name is permanent. and great. i subbed for timetock due to his inactivity and am posting due to ji's tiredness SERIES:

The unupped version looks totally awesome. The upped one should be tested, might be OP. Maybe OpenEtG? I like the idea. A lot.

Agree with Chap, since not all decks have drawpower (or fractals and mindgates) they wouldn't be able to avoid the effect for as long as they can. I'd increase the damage or reduce the cost for the upgraded and keep it at one card per turn.

not all decks can deal with denial, and it shuts you down compltely. this only reduces max hp by 5 a turn.

With the exception of rainbow vs BH (even more if vs gravy nymphs) it takes a duo to get a denial strong enough to consistently lock the opponent. This helps balancing these decks.

This already works well enough in a control based fire deck. Of course this also has more counters, like PC (or sancts) and unlike with denial the opponent would be able to play these, so maybe it all balances out in the end.
