ART:

IDEA:
Arondight
NOTES:
  • Parry does not stack if you Animate multiple Arondights.
  • All incoming damage means almost all incoming damage, that includes spells, momentum creatures, and weapons. But, if you're wondering, negative damage is also included, reducing the effectiveness of Antimatter to an extent. Example: -4|2 creature only heals you for 2 life upon attack; this is to balance the lighter side a bit.
  • The darkness ability is a bit weaker due to Entropy already having synergies with Darkness.
  • Both abilities do not consume any quanta, they only become active with the right mark.
  • Mark cards do not unlock this card's abilities, it would create a usage rift between tournament winners and nontournament winners.
  • Arondight is sword wielded by Lancelot in the fictional stories of Arthurian folklore.
  • Lancelot was a great knight, but gave in to adultery. I wanted to reflect how his sword developed two sides due to it's wielder actions and personality.
SERIES:
Vain series of being very vain in this vain, virtual world. (http://elementscommunity.org/forum/index.php/topic,9686.0.html)

+Originality points! Never seen anything like this before...

I can make the card art dual Light/Dark for you if you want.
To be or not to be, I can do both at once. Go learn quantum mechanics, n00b.

I can put in better-looking (almost perfect) Quanta-symbols for you using MS Paint if you want. :P

They're not supposed to be quanta symbols. They're Mark symbols. That's why they're square.

It's alright, but thanks. I made it so that the base of the card was choatic (entropic) so that it is easily influenced by the user and has no allegiances.  :)

It's alright, resized images work well enough for the marks as it's only a card idea.  :)

CURATOR COMMENT

To Be Crucible Ready
- Need to fill in the Type with "Permanent (Weapon)"
- Fix the Disparity Between the Card text in the Table and the Card Image

Questions / Comments / Suggestions
Interesting idea but the way you have portrayed this on the card is confusing.
I would not use the Light Icon in the text box but instead detail that the Mark of light is required.
Ie "Parry: Prevents 2 damage if your mark is Light"
and similar for the Darkness effect
Ie " :darkness Drain: Drain 2 life from target creature if your mark is Darkness"

SO if your dark it does 2 damage and heals you 2.......and if your light it reduces all damage by 2..... and if your other elements it does 5 damage? Cool idea!

I guess it is somewhat confusing. But, I made the abilities free of cost, whether it's Light or Darkness. If you have a Darkness mark, I intended for the card to light up like any other card with an ability that could be used. When you have a Light mark, the card won't light up at all, as to signify a fine distinction between the two.

^ The weapon damage happens regardless of mark, like any other weapon.

Realations to Marks don't exist with Images and the images you have used are confusing. I showed your idea to two friends who play elements casualy and they both asked how a card could have 2 active abilites. I'm going to have to say no to the crucible ready status on the grounds that the presentation of this card is unnecessarily confusing in nature. I suggest creating the card with the abilites as words and then if it makes it to the game Zanz might create an icon to relate to "element of" or "mark of element" to save space. Another option could be to relate the Basic card to the Light pure Lancelot effect and the upped card to the Darkness Adulterer Lancelot effect.

Different abilities based on your mark? Pretty awesome idea. Your card looks a lot like Discord though (art wise).

I'm 99% sure he based it off Discord, lol. Compare the card and his avatar.

Aye, smudge tool over the jagged discord bits to get a straight blade and you're there.
So you might want to change the art to something a bit more original, but other than that, I really like the idea.
