Basically whenever the opponent targets something in your board (ie a creature or a perm) with a spell, the sigil protects it. The details are all in the notes.

This would mean that mass CC (Thunderstorm, Plague, Rain of Fire, Pandemonium) will not trigger the sigil, am I correct?
