ART: Aves IDEA: andretimpa NOTES: Any creature can be targetted, but vanilla creatures, creatures with only a passive ability and creatures with lobotomizable abilities that the player doesn't need to trigger (bioluminescence, vampire or scramble, for example) will not have their abilities changed. The quanta gain for the unupped matches the cost of the skill. If there's no cost it defaults to the creatures element. The only exception is if the cost was set to 0 by SoR (the original element is still used in this case) Examples for the unupped: Target a Horned Frog, the owner gains 1 (vanilla creature) Target a Devourer, the owner gains 1 , the cost of burrow becomes 2 (matches the skill cost) Target a lobotomized Devourer, the owner gains 1 (passive only) Target an Artic Dragon with Acceleration, the owner gains 1 (lobotomizable skill which is not triggered) Target a Shard of Focus, the owner gains 1 , the cost of accretion becomes 1 (triggered skill with 0 cost) Target a Scarab that has been SoR'd, the owner gains 1 , the cost of devour goes to 1 Target an animated flying sword, the owner gains 1 (example using other) You can keep using it on the same creature. It increases the cost for each time it is used. For example, if I target a rustler 3 times, photosynthesis will cost 4 (to generate 2 ). The owner will receive 3 in the case of the unupped or you will receive 3 in the case of the upped. The unupped and upped versions have some subtle differences. The upped has less drawbacks when used as a soft CC, but the unupped is more flexible when doubling as a quanta burst, targetting one of your vanilla creatures or one of your creatures with an ability you don't care about. ART: CDW #3 IDEA: andretimpa NOTES: This is a cheap creature mainly used to provide soft anti-CC, exploring some themes already present in and making use of creature positioning. Mechanics notes: The mist itself also has a 50% evade chance. The creature effectively has 3 abilities. It is airborne, it has a passive ability that provides evade to nearby creatures and itself and it has an active one that allows you to move it to any empty creature slot in your board. The evade works like the one provided by SoFree (so it doesn't work for AoE) but it does not stack in any way: A creature with 2 nearby mists still has only 50% evade. If you have SoFree, airborne creatures nearby a mist will have whatever evade chance is higher (50% if you have 1 or 2 SoFree, 75% if you have 3 and 100% if you have 4). By nearby I mean being in an adjacent slot (slots touching the slot with the mist) SERIES: CDW #3

ART: CDW IDEA: andretimpa NOTES: My interpretation of how a buff would work in water. The fact that you need to build up for this card to be used more effectively reflects the theme of patience in water. Both your creatures and the opponent's are counted. I balanced it around Shard of Wisdom, Blessing and Rage Pot (mommentum is also a buff, but most of its value comes from the shield bypass it grants). All of these cards follow the same cost pattern, so they should be around the same power level: Shard of Wisdom grants 4 attack and allows for spell damage, for the expense of not buffing HP. This is not a problem if your target is immortal Blessing compared to SoW is a bit weaker, though the HP increase allows for some combos like blessed otys. The fact that it is in the same element of pegasus gives it another combo, making the main strength of blessing to have more available combos Rage Pot gives the highest attack of them at the expense of damaging the creature requiring you to ivest on creatures with high HP to use it as a buff. But this also adds flexibility as it can be used as CC (that can be stronger than fire bolt in the early game). Affinity on the other hand can give a buff that is larger than all of them, but requires that you wait until at least the midgame to be played effectivelly, as such it is less of a rush card and more of a break one. Another weakness that helps balancing it is that it is not as useful in a rainbow deck (where you'll find one, maybe two water creatures). Some combos I can think of are: fractal in a water/fractal deck. It can be used together with PU to get huge bursts of damage in the late game and it can be a fairly good way of buffing wardens in a squid/warden deck in a shardless meta. SERIES: CDW

That's not what I had in mind (I was thinking the creature element) but I think it would be much more interesting. I'll see if the upped doesn't get too weak in comparison and make some changes (maybe make the upped give you 1 always, no matter who is the target's owner).
