Well wait, current art for Ruby Dragon is not made by you, am I right? I admire your arts, no doubt, but you was pretty straight-forward saying that Fotosyntheis' art is bad-looking ;]

And I'll say it again. A low-quality image of a static Spore creature with low-res flames looks bad no matter what your sentimental attachment to it is.

Fortunately I'm not attached to any current art ^^ But to the tell the truth I would be happy if I could create at least such bad art for my card ideas as current Ruby Dragon :3

Yep, I'm going to say it. I like the old Crimson Dragon art better than vrt's. Main reason is because it shows its full body. All creatures in Elements have full body as their art, so vrt's art may not fit as well as the other creatures. And relax a bit. Like AA said, people's taste is different than what you may think. You can express what you think of a certain art. But there's no need to tell us that the Spore art or any other art is rubbish. If you think it is, we have no right to make you change your opinion. But try not to be too harsh on others. I know you work extremely hard on your art, but we're just trying to tell you what we think of it and whether it's suitable to be implemented into the game or not.

You could. The Spore species creator is very simple.

Yes, new Ruby Dragon would look even cooler with more body or even just more neck showing (seems it's a perspective issue since it's sort of bending its neck to breathe fire on us), but it's already miles better than what we have.

It's long overdue that I made this topic! Here's a collection of a lot of the stuff I did for Elements. Some are original pieces for ingame, some are reworks of ingame pieces, and some are made purely for card ideas. Either way, you can be pretty sure that these are in use somewhere, so please do ask before you use them. And for the record; this is not everything I made, there's quite a few things missing. These are mainly the ones I'm most proud of.. Or the ones I didn't lose the source file of.  In any case, I hope you enjoy my work. You can let me know!

 Well I like the current crimison dragon and especially the current black dragon,
I think that bone dragon and purple dragon are cards that needed of new art

Oh, that needs to be said: the new Black Dragon is perfect and awesome. Forest Spirit looks a lot mightier and serene too at the same time. Abom and Freeze are cute. They remind me of the art style in Earthworm Jim x)

 The new forest spirit is really very very wonderful (particularly think the best art VRT), the new black dragon is nice, but I always liked the current, however agree that the new would be better.

 Now this new crimison dragon  combines better with a spell card and not creature, really I agree that creature has to have full body

When I said this VRT busted a gasket! I completely agree with you, all of the dragons should have a full body picture. Bone Dragon needs an update and I personally think that VRT's Obsidian Dragon art is really exceptional and should replace the current one immediately.

It's understandable. He probably spent 3 hours on Crimson, and people do have an irrational attachment to art that does look childish and too simple. It happens every time he gives us new art for no reward. Worst of all, I think, is that Spore art is generated from an engine, whereas art directly from an artist is both original and dedicated to us.

What Higs said. Vrt has spent a lot of time and effort on these artworks (all volunteering, might I add), and frankly, once again as Higs said, art made by a member of the community specifically for the game we love will always be better than an engine-created one.

 Since I started playing elements I witnessed the replacement of all of these cards, and I really enjoyed it a lot, especially firefly queen, perhaps because it has the whole body, the new Obsidiam Dragon is pretty good too, no doubt, and the dimensional shield also is better than current.

 

 But the current Crimison Dragon many like to use as avatar, until I thought  use Ruby Dragon as avatar. because even though maker in spore art is aesthetically beautiful.
 But of course, VRT is a fantastic member and makes great things for our community,  this is was just my opinion of the Crimson Dragon.

I do agree that Crimson Dragon needed to show a bit more of the body (If only to fit the look of the other creature cards, as it's own piece I think it looks great) but my word that is leaps and bounds better than the spore version and I can't understand why anyone wouldn't want all Spore art replaced with VRT's work. Sure, some of it's not even "bad" per se, but it's still less aesthetically pleasing by far.

I do rather hope that your next dragon redo is Bone Dragon though, that may be the ugliest card in the game.
