Woah, you guys are so good drawing it kinda makes me jealous. I want to learn how to draw, too. Probably I will draw some doodles for alternative card arts, though I can only use pencils and pens (and probably MS Paint).
My idealized elements cycle:

you should totally ditch MS paint! intead, you would want to use something like this https://krita.org/en/
or this: https://www.gimp.org/
The first one is for digital painting and drawing. The second one is more about image editing. So really depends on what you want to do; both are free and open source, and are some of the best programs there are.

Althou tbh, if you really want to learn to draw properly, paper and pencil is always the best to go to learn the fundamentals (except colors for obvious reasons haha)

So, I did this version of ghost of the past.

Spoiler for Hidden:

I think the drawing looks good, really. The thing is that I'm not sure I've achieved what I was trying to do;
I feel the design lacks this element of "mystic"  you told me and besides I would like it to be more imposing.
Fundamentally, I think I would have achieved a better result had I picked proper references  :sillyspin:

so I will put a pin on that one, and I will redo it sometime in the future; also, I used the ball instead of the pointy knife to try and do something different than the current one, but I might use the knife next time.

Also, Monox! If you want any help or feedback from me don't hesitate to ask ! :)

Well, actually I want to submit for the Art choice in the Trial of Water by drawing my take on Water Pillar, however my take is it will be Snow Pillar and I wonder if the Art part allows challengers to change a card's name just to match their art submission. Being said, I try to redirect my idea to Dry Spell with probably a withering Rustler in it though maybe you can suggest a more fitting unupgraded creature for that.

Mmm I'm not sure I understand. What do you mean by submit for the Art choice? I'm really new to the community, sorry! A snow pillar sounds like a great idea. You should totally try that. A dry spell in a rustler sounds awesome, especially because it is easy to comunicate the idea of dehydrating something with plants; it is a clear image. You could try with other types of creatures but it would be either hard to represent or unpleasant to see I think?

Have fun with Trial's tasks. If you want to reimagine a card with a tweaked name, do it

Okay, I will try. I can't draw digitally, though, so it will be hand-drawing with color pencils and other trivial tools only.

So? (sael said, acting naturally half a year later) How did that go? Made a cool drawing?   :D
