Making Of: Airbender

Not only this^, but what program did you use to create the tutorial. It was very well done.

Photoshop for both answers. But a lot of what I did can be done on Pixlr from what I remember. It's just a bit rougher to do.

Agreed, thanks to this I have a better idea now of how clouds are drawn.
Two questions if you don't mind:
Did you use any reference images?
How long did this take to do?

For the hawk I used a few different reference images to help get it looking right. I even used the Pokemon Articuno to hep with the flowing tail idea.

The whole thing took me a few hours, mostly because it was a lot of trial and error. Most of what you see took many attempt to arrive at. At least two hours worth of work didn't end up in the final image.
