because of the three triangles in the middle.  :P
That shape in general is commonly used as the Sierpinski triangle fractal (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Sierpinski_triangle) for all sorts of things.  Maybe call it the Mark of Tetra?

Two new Marks for 12 Realms, a collaborative writing project I'm participating in:


Mark of Psi


Mark of Tech

These two are not separate elements by themselves. Rather, each of the 12 elements has something that belongs to Psi and Tech. Hence their rainbow colors, since they belong to all elements.

I'm using Adobe Fireworks. All my Marks are made from Kamietsu's elemental vectors.

Well, when you think of "tech", don't you automatically think of metal? Originally the Tech Mark is going to be a hexagon surrounded by three more hexagons, but it looked too plain so I used a fancier design.

Mark Merger uses existing things.
In make your own Mark, you create stuff from scratch using the vectors.
