The ideal design for a card is akin to a hologram. Each component of the card should predict the entire card.

I do not know if Zanz agrees with my prediction. I would have to wait for Shard of Fertility to be in the trainer.

Major thank you (again) for the artwork Cyrotube. ^^; Also, I like your details in terms of the first post; I have a few questions about one of your processes, but I'll ask later perhaps when my mind isn't so distracted by the chaos going on currently. Fantastic golem art!

Impressive!

With such a great artist here, I believe that Zanz will be willing to implement more cards (like the Seraph). :)
PVE shouldn't be all about copying a deck code and converting time into electrum, score, and potentially rares.
If the only way to derive fun from a game is its PVP content, then non-hardcore players a.k.a. the mass are alienated from the hardcore community.

Haha, alright. Let's make sure that you know first and foremost that this is a really nice piece! The texture is good, the composition is good, and overall it just really grabs the eye.

That said, there's some technical issues I'd point out. The most obvious one is that it's kind of lacking in finish. There's a lot of rough edges, I feel that going in with a small high-opacity brush for a couple of minutes would've made the overall look a lot more clean and readable - even if you might've been going for a more painterly look. That said, the texture you achieved in certain areas (particularly around his 'core') is fantastic. The texture doesn't work very well for the legs, though, some more definition would go a long way in making this guy look more credible.

There's another two things that I'm not sure about, though I feel as if they're related. I think the most pressing issue is the lighting consistency; there's not really any clear light source despite the pure white. I'd really like some more emphasis on the rimlighting around his head and core, giving more depth and definition to the creature as a whole. Furthermore, there's a pretty big issue with the left shoulder; the way the shadow sits from the shoulder to the lower arm, with very little gradation, makes it look flat, and that just throws off the creature's anatomy. A more gradial (if faceted) approach could really work wonders on making it look more volumetric!

That's all I can see. You're well on your way as an artist, and you can tell you're doing your studies. Keep it up!

So long and thanks for all the fish!
