i prefer your clean fractal z, the static effect isnt as aesthetically pleasing.

Yeah, I don't like it either - it seems to be a side effect of merging with the background, which already has that 'grain' effect in place to start with. Would smoothing out the BG and then adding the Fractal be good, or should I just leave the BG black?

I know that I should not judge stuff I have not yet seen, but I do not think that an improved version of the art with the BG would look better than the one without it. (To me that is. Might be because I like the BG-less version so much )

i would stick with the black background, when smoothed out the background just looks like out of place random clouds or blurry marks

2. How did you make that in game example? Photoshop I assume, but for a moment I got my hopes up and started to think there was a way to put your own card art in your own games.. My, the adventures we elementals would have.

Anyway, really like the work done here, and I'm glad y'all decided to go sans-frog. Didn't really care for the ugly orange spots, made the whole thing look like a peacock. I'd also really like to know how Zblader made that design :3

Zanzarino needs to take a look at this. I would reduce the iterations, but it's a real fractal and the actual card image isn't. It looks awesome btw.

^This (I don't know, but I wouldn't think that the number of interations would make that big of a difference unless majorly decreased)
Hope Z sees this as he is the only one (as far as I know) who has the values for this fractal, so that he could either try adjusting it or tell the code so someone else could try.

Hm, I tried to reduce the 'noise' going on around the fractal a bit (I'm not sure how moose does that 'smoothing' effect on the Fractal), so here's the result:
