While some of us may be artists, others are not.

Forumites that may want to suggest cards might not have a place to get their images from.
It is because of that, that I wanted to create a place that the Elements Forum Community can discuss where to get images from and what the specificities of each website are.

Feel free to ask questions about the details of each website.

While indeed doing practically the same thing, the point of this thread is not to put the art that others can use, but to post where it is that we can find whatever we want.

Realistically SG, while being an awesome thread, it will get filled up with art and be almost a little too hectic. The efficiency of this thread is that in mentioning the sites where one can find art to use, space is saved, and not only that but art is not already pre-selected. Some may enjoy searching themselves.

I particularly would view these threads as 2 separate threads having nearly the same effect, however one presents the keys to treasure chests and the other presents the treasure.

I guess in the end it's up to taste. But if in the end you truly find that this is really unnecessary than it will end up where it belongs.

Um.. the sticky thread has links to these art websites. Images there are just samples, not some pre-selected stuff that you have to use.

For example the first link on that thread is the same as your first (and only) link. In it's current form, you thread offers no new information, therefore it's double-posting.

Scaredgirl, I don't mean to personalize this, but *sigh*.

While it does indeed present the links to the websites, it does so in a mixed fashion, interspersing them with images. I'm simply presenting them in a different form, swaying away from the images and focusing on the websites, where I see nothing wrong in doing.

As for it being double-posting, I guess that's kind of subjective. Theoretically if the first thread ever created, say made by you, presented all information people needed to know or would ever want to know, then all other threads would be double-posting, but that's not going to happen. Why? It would be too much, it would have to be separated into parts. While I realize that it's a far stretch from the truth, I guess I'm trying to show what I'm trying to get at. My intention is not to double-post, it is simply to present WHERE people can find WHAT it is they want and create a place where questions can be asked efficiently as to what are the detailed specifics that must be addressed when taking an image from a particular website.

But I'll be keeping an eye out for any thread that presents "no new information".

I see you have updated this thread by copy-pasting the same 3 links already posted in that sticky thread. How is that not double posting?

Like I said earlier, this thread offers nothing new which is why I'm locking it right now.

If you have something else to offer than just links, please start a thread about it. If you only have links to royalty-free images, please post them on that sticky thread and I'll add it to the list. There's no reason to have 2 different link threads.
