i agree, if you aren't at least going to have the courtesy to ask them first then what is the point of copyrights.  I see no problem if you look through devianart and then contact the person but it is just a bit shady to just take it.

LOL amen, vrt. Artists get ripped off for several reasons:

1.) they do not know enough about copyright to protect their intellectual property
2.) people who use art do not know the practical meaning of "fair use"
3.) people who use art do not know how to give proper credit
4.) people who use art do not care about copyright at all
