Duality - Something I drew in a class...

OK, first of all, I did NOT draw this in math class. I drew this in Graphics class, when we were supposed to design the cover art for our student agenda next year. This thing took me a class to draw (about 1.5 hours), and about 3 hours to clean up using Adobe Fireworks. This is only the first draft, with no color whatsoever (the intended color scheme is gold/purple + black/white), but I thought it looked pretty nice so I'll post it here.

Oh, wow. Looks great. It can be used as card art either for the "Creature-Stealing" spell, the "Balance Stats" spell, the "Switch Stats" spell, or something else involving duality.

Great work. I can't wait to see the finished product. Looks incredibly clean like a bitmap.

It looks clean because it is completely vector image. You should be able to enlarge it to any size without making it appear pixelated. Took me a few hours to use the Pen Tool to trace every single line in my scanned image...

Since this is the cover art for our student agenda, the finished product is going to say "Sir Winston Churchill Secondary School, Student Agenda, 2010 - 2011". However, I can easily change that text to something entirely different.

Anything I can add to the blank spaces on the image? Something angelic and demonic but not too religious...

Erm... I need some suggestions for the backgrounds. For the "dark" background I used a galaxy/nebula sort of background, and it looked pretty nice. However, if I invert that nebula image and use that for the "light" background, it looks like a hideous shade of rotten milk. Any suggestions on what texture and pattern to use for the "light" background? It should be white and golden yellow. Clouds, maybe?

Clouds work. Rays of light departing from a single point like the sun may work, too, or a floral design.

Top-left and bottom-right corners are SCREEMING for content but you said it's "unfinished" so I guess you are planning to do something about that.

Clouds work. Rays of light departing from a single point like the sun may work, too, or a floral design.

I already found something. I guess the current background for the light side could be interpreted as clouds, but it was actually a screenshot from my psychedelic rainbow plasma screensaver colorized to make it yellow, then given very very high brightness to make it yellowish white. But it certainly looks better than a crappy inverted galaxy picture.

There's supposed to be text in the top left and bottom right, since it's the cover art for our high school student agenda. But other than the text, I'll add a sun and a moon as Icy suggested. Or something else, if it still looks empty afterwards.

OK, version two of this thing...

I attached the small image, because the large image is a freaking 8.66 MB! I dunno, might be the huge bitmaps I used...

Anything else I can add? Please note that this is the version without text. The actual image that I'm submitting to the school will be a lot less empty, because there will be text saying "Sir Winston Churchill, Student Agenda, 2010 - 2011".
