It's interesting. Like a ball dropped in water. Though to me, in the small size, it looks a little... chaotic I couldn't quite see everything until I looked at the bigger one.

i really like this- i hope you dont mind, but i took the liberty of smoothing it out a tiny bit:




edit- added a hybrid-half-way-compromise in the middle, the differences are subtle, mostly it amounts to some sharper contrasts, expanded areas of light color where previously it had been a little more color-filled.  and in the small version some of the strings are much darker overall.

But really though, you're right, it does look good, or perhaps even better.  I was playing around with the smoothness, but feel once it's shrunk down it's almost to the point of being blurry.  I think somewhere between mine and your version would suffice.

The pixelier version does look a bit more chaotic and would suffice just as well as the smooth version.

six of one, half a dozen of the other.  i like both for varying reasons but it is really a matter of personal taste in the end.  the pixelated version has starker contrasts while the smoothed version looks more similar to art that vrt and others have supplied for the game.  in any event, it would be awesome to see any version of this art added to the game at some point in the future.

(basically it was not my intent to turn this into a voting thread)

Pixelated version looks less chaotic as it does look glitchy. I like the smoothness of moomoose's edit as it does resemble the other art supplied for the game.
