Feel free to check out the image collabs (http://www.kongregate.com/collabs/art), as they tell you how copyrighted they are and which ones are legal to use.  I found this one (http://www.kongregate.com/collabs/art/SCREAM46/the-mighty-kong?sort=by_rating) if someone wants to use it.



This image must be accredited, but is perfectly legal to put in a card.

Does the picture have this symbol: or something similar?

Remember, Elements has built-in ads so it's not non-commercial use.

The CC symbol means it's copyrighted in the way of the little symbols to the right.  The only little symbol to the right means you must accredit the artist, which we do.  It is legal to use this card for commercial means, build upon it, and redistribute it.  It is legal for use.

If you need to double check, click the icon, it will tell you what copyright laws apply.

If it has a dollar sign with a warning label over it that means it is only usable for non-commercial use.

Thank you for this lesson of things I already know :)

My question was, does your gorilla picture have this same icon? I'm asking because a HUGE majority of the pictures I found on that website were NOT for commercial use. They had a different kind of icon which had what miniwally is talking about there.

I only posted because I made the assumption that you thought all images with the "CC" are "legal" for any kind of use if you only mention the artist, which is of course incorrect.

Wait... so uploading a game to Kongregate for ad revenue is commercial use?
If so, most Kongregate games use illegal music... Non-commercial CC music from Newgrounds FTW.
