I tried to make a new deck using vampires, quintessence and shards of wisdom. Even though the ability "vampire" remains the vampires wont heal me anymore. I think this is becouse of the programming. The vampires are not actually attacking anymore but instead they cast spells and that's probably why they wont heal you. I just wonder was that intended or a bug? and is fixing this impossible? It would possibly require to recode the whole shard of wisdom.

I think it's intended, and vamps only heal physical damage.

Indeed, it's been intended since SoW's release.  I don't believe zanz intends to change this either.

The "psion" ability replaces the "vampire" ability.  A creature can't have both.
