With a couple of people into a SHUT tournament, we realized that:

When someone draws himself into death ( has 0 cards in deck and uses hasten or precognition) , his opponent will have a message that he left the game, and the game will be continued by the AI.

It's true, I had this happen to me too. I played a friend and deliberately loses to him, but to show off my skill, I kept stalling and not letting him kill me and drew myself to deck out. I intended to give him a EM, but it turns out after I drew myself to death, the AI played the weapon in my hand and damaged my friend, so he didn't get the EM.
