Shard of Void seems to be unable to reduce opponent's hp to 0, it remains at 1. I'm not sure if this is a bug, though. I just didn't find any documentation of this feature.

That is  correct. SoV will only reduce Hp down to 1

You didn't search hard enough. I have complained about this quite thoroughly, though it does make sense from a balance standpoint.
