If you cast the unstable gas, you also don't target the player - you just click on the card....

Nobody/nothing is perfect ...
Via the game mechanics you ARE though.  Just like how Fire Storm doesnt hit burrowed or immortal creatures.  it targets each monster individually.

you would have no way of not damaging yourself.
And what is sundial then?
And what is antimattered vampire then?

Isn't being "poisoned" more like a status than an instantaneous damage spell? I think it's pretty silly for one to want a reflective shield to totally annihilate a deck archetype, or even an element's forte. Especially when Poison doesn't have a lot going for it like it used to with all these unupgraded Pillarless decks being able to beat a fully upgraded poison deck without creature control.

ya, although it's not a bug, i think the wording of the shields are misleading

it said "spells are reflected against your opponent"
it didn't mentioned any "damage reflected"
most people will understand as "reflect all spell that target you"
so the spell poison should be reflected, but not the poison from puffer fishes as it is ability
also unstable gas should not be reflected than, as it is not a spell, but an activate ability

however, the shields don't work as what it said
so i think either the wordings or the effects should be changed

I agree with you.

I would say that the ability of a creature like puffer fish is not a spell so it should not be refelcted. But the card poison is in my opinion and so the effect should be reflected.

Or it would be good to change the description on the card...

Well, I agree the descriptions tend to lack consistency, but.. keep in mind, this is a virtual card game. In comparison to a real card game where you can question many cards for their wording, this game does the intended effect the majority of the time outside of the real bugs.  :) So, it does the work for you regardless of the description.
