Unselect skill bug

I did a little research and I found this not to be reported: I'm playing the game on kongregate and when I select a card with a skill and cancel the operation I cannot use that skill during that turn anymore. It doesnt happen with all cards, one that I know is always bothering me is otyugh

If you use a skill of a creature or weapon and then cancel the skill before selecting a target, you lose the quanta cost and the ability to use the skill again. This is intended behaviour and not a bug. Hope this helps.

While this is true, I've never heard a satisfactory answer as to why.

Something about when the quanta was refunded and the skill could be used again, it was abused by repidly using/canceling and gaining quanta on it. Baically zanz fixed a bug by not letting skills be canceled properly. Hardly the best solution, but it worked.
