Surrendering to practice arena deck costs electrum [unconfirmed] https://elementscommunity.org/forum/index.php?topic=34232.msg431796#msg431796

Today I was testing my arena deck and had a bad test run, so I surrendered and tried again. However, instead of the usual "you lost 0 :electrum, I lost 30. I tried again for the sake of testing, and my electrum total did in fact decrease.

If you lose to something with a 0  :electrum cost, it will show the value of the last activity that actually had value.

Do you have a screenshot?

I've tried to replicate what aznbluejay as said happens, but I have not noticed a loss of Electrum.  However, it sounds like what Filly stated is exactly what's going on.

Here's my total Electrum BEFORE practicing against my Arena deck:

How here I am surrendering to said deck:

Before I 'practiced' with my Arena deck, I had won a match against a Half-Blood/Level 4 AI.  As you can see, it says I lose twenty Electrum, but I ended up losing none at all.

When you lose to your own arena deck, it says you lose electrum, but your total doesn't change. And I just wrote love instead of lose back in the first sentence.

I do remember mysteriously losing score once while testing against my arena deck, since my level decreased without having played any other games at all between creating my arena deck and watching the level being lowered. I don't have any screenshots to prove it or anything, though. Maybe you have to time your surrender right or something (during opponents' turn, you own turn, while drawing a card etc. don't have time to try that out, yet).

I'll just leave this here, since it's sort of relevant.  You can lose score (and electrum too?) from testing.  Although it hasn't happened to me lately.

Tested what you said, and it's true. Now I can't seem to replicate my bug :O
Maybe it only works after losing to an FG and then surrendering to the arena deck; I'll try that later the next time I lose to an FG.
Perhaps it was only a one-time thing, too :D

Taking into account what Filly posted, I'd say there's your answer. :)
