SoPa doesn't add +5/+5 to water creatures in flooded area. https://elementscommunity.org/forum/index.php?topic=49707.msg1077756#msg1077756

Don't know if I'm just misunderstanding the text on SoPa, but when I use either Flood or Inundation with water creatures on my side, and then cast SoPa it still only adds +2/+2 instead of +5/+5.  I've tried this with Physalia, puffer fish, and arctic octopus and it only adds +2/+2 each time.  Am I missing something?

Are the creatures in a flooded area or in a "dry" area while the field is flooded?

Aha - that might be the trick - I'll go ahead and test in the trainer.

Edit: OK, Water creatures do indeed  get the +5/+5 once they are past the first 5 creature slots.  Thanks for the clarification regen2k9!

BTW - I love your unupped mono dark deck and usually recommend it to new players.  :)

It isn't working now.  I used afflatoxin to get malignant cells on all three rows and they still only get +2/+2 each turn.

Despite not being able to drown, they are in fact technically a costless "other" type creature, the only one in the game at that.

That's really interesting actually, I didn't know that.. I suppose that means that, even though malignant cells card text says that it can't drown, it's inability to drown comes specifically from it's element type, not any sort of ability.

Therefore, if there were any future other type creatures, they would be immune to flooding, barring a rewriting of some code..

Well, the card text on Flooding says: 'Water and neutral creatures are immune.'. So yeah.

Yes.  I know.  And that is an unrelated fact.  It doesn't say "water creatures in flooded areas", or "non-flying creatures in flooded areas", it says "creatures in flooded areas".

The creature is in a flooded area.  It doesn't get what the car says it will get.  Therefore either the card text is wrong, or the code needs to be fixed.  I'm guessing that what was intended is that the shard affect all creatures of any type in the flooded area.  If not, how hard is it to fix the text?

It says ":water creatures in a flooded area".
:water creatures = water creatures.
