as stated in title quint removes freezing not sure if intentional

Was fighting neptune and summoned oytugh he congeals it with artic octupus i quint it and no more congeal

NOTE: quinted it the first turn it was congealed also it was unfrozen in the middle of the turn
also freeze has the same effect happens on both

ill try and get screen shots

Yes it is intentional. Quintessence makes the target creature immortal (Immune to effects of other cards). When you cast it, any previous effects are removed. (except for Spine Carapace, which poisons even immortal creatures.)

No, not really. Immortal means untargetable, not immune. Quinted creature will freeze if it procs permafrost shield effect. It also does not remove ANY previous effects except freeze. Personally, I find it weird and inconsistent.

It is strange, but it really was intended. If you were around when you read the updates, Zanz said he changed it to be that way. I'm not sure which update it was anymore, but you can rummage through and find it.
