Psion vs Firewall

The creature Psion has psion as ability... make him ATTACKING  causing spell damage
Fire shield: 1dmg is dealt to ANY ATTACKING creature...
but fire shield don't do dmg against the Psions...

i was thinking of the same question and perhaps the spell damage is considered as somewhat 'pure damage' and shields are ignored.

its not a bug, its intended. it may not be clear in the shield's text, but the 1 damage only applies to attacking creatures that deal physical damage. Psion deals spell damage, so its not affected by the shield, although its attack can be reflected with mirror shield or jade shield like any other spell

that make sense, ya, i guess it's logical enough that physical damages are affected by shields and only certain shields like the ones in and have the ability to repel spells.
