random poisoning of my oty

I was taking on gravitron, used fallen druid improve to deal with a problem, and it turned the monster in a puffer fish with burrow.  I then used my electrocutor and lobotomized the puffer fish, removing the burrow and momentum (it was given unstoppable before i mutated it).  I ate it with my oty... and now its poisoned...???????

Any thoughts?

I know that picture fails, but there's nothing on my side either that poisons.   mutate, devour, improve, heal, immaterial, momentum and queen are all my skills

Next time you see a puffer fish, mouse over it. You'll see that it has a passive ability called "poisonous". It infects whatever creature eats it. It's not a bug, it's part of the latest game update, v1.23.

This is not a bug. Read the elements 1.23 thread. Zanz did a slight modification whereby eating creatures with the passive skill poison (cannot be lobotomized, just like pest's devour), will inflict poison on the devouring creature, which in your case was an oty.

ah, ok.  I didnt even know the game was upped to 1.23 :/ serves me right for not playing in 3 days
