Hi,

Sometimes, I play one of the Entropy shields (both upped or not) and they don't work. Why that? :)

I just dropped an upped one I got from my SoSe, I'm full of quantums (like 20 of each), and the AI played a Crusader who dealt 3 damages to me.
I was aiming for the EM, so I was quite aware of all the little details. He was not under momentum.

It's not the first time I notice this. I was playing the unupped one in a mono-entropy deck when I was doing my quests, and it did the exact same thing. But I was assuming I was a noob and that I would eventually understand this later...
Sadly, I'm now aware of all (or nearly) the little things of this game, and I don't understand. :)

Can anyone help me on this one? Is this a bug? A hidden mecanism? Did I miss something?

Thanks.

-brontos

Dissipation Shield currently has issues whenever the card Sanctuary is present on the field.  Some of the interactions with Sanctuary are intended, others I suspect are bugs.

Did you have a sanctuary on the field?

...Well, probably not, since you said you were using it in a mono-entropy deck.

I have 3 steals in my current deck, and maybe I got a sanctuary. Damn, should've taken a screenshot...

Like said above, the entropy shields and sanctuary have contradicting effects. Since those shield removes quanta because of damage taken on your opponent's turn and sanctuary prevents loss of quanta during that time, your shield is as good as having no shield at all. So you can't have both at the same time on your field.

Yes, I was having the same kind of issue against a mono-Aether deck. My thought was that the "immaterial" nature of elite dragons might get it past the "stops damage from PHYSICAL sources", that the dissipation shield reads.

I have had this same problem multiple times both with and without a sanctuary on the field.

Now that I got pointed out the sanctuary conflict, I pay attention to it. The situation presented itself to me this morning, and yes, the shield was not working because of it. All the other times, I got no problems (with SoSe, I have a lot of enthropy shields...).

So, unless I see this again, the case is closed for me: "It's WAI.". Thank you all. :)
