Oracle cards not appearing in my library https://elementscommunity.org/forum/index.php?topic=4123.msg40310#msg40310

Today I was very happy to get Eternity from the Oracle until I tried to add it to my deck.
It was not added to my library. Didn't see this posted.
Not sure how common this is. Usually I don't bother to check because the Oracle card isn't helpful.

You only get a card from the Oracle when it says "This card is now yours!" The "Back" button changes to "Get Card", and you get the card when you click on it. Any other visit to the Oracle only nets you more electrum.

Dont forget the pet! A shrieker pet doing 8 damage per turn is amazing.

Sure, you get a pet sometimes, but this topic is more concerned with immediate, permanent gains from the Oracle. And I personally don't remember the last time I actually used a deck to take advantage of the fact that I had a pet, unless I was already running an immolation deck or something. :)

This seems like a problem to me. The same thing happened again today!
There isn't a "get card" only an "ok," which I clicked. The button goes dark to acknowledge my choice.
There were no other options.

The oracle draws a card to give you a fortune, not to give you a card. However, sometimes (10% chance) it is kind enough to give you the card as well.

so I just didn't understand the purpose of the Oracle?
because I thought it was meant to be a way to get new and interesting cards.

It is a way to get new and interesting cards, it's just not guaranteed that you'll get one every time.

well count me disappointed. I vote to have the oracle give you a new card every day.
I thought it was a good way to get people to play more frequently but it really isn't useful without the card.

It *is* a good way to get people to play more frequently since it's the only way (aside from winning tournaments) of obtaining nymph cards (100% chance to get the nymph if it's shown).
