Okay, so this has been discovered before but not discussed in full. I tested it out to figure out exactly how stacking Nightfall and Eclipse works. I'll begin with the first condition, that if you play Eclipse first, any Eclipse/Nightfall cards you play after that will not stack. The following is where the stacking bug comes into play and gets very interesting...

If you play Nightfall first:
  • Every Eclipse you play afterward will grant all Death/Darkness creatures currently in play an additional +1/+1 (not +2/+1)
  • Every Nightfall you play after the first will not stack and will have no additional effect
  • Every Death/Darkness creature you play after you stack permanents will enter play with only a +1/+1 bonus and will not receive stacked benefits unless you play another Eclipse
Below are two screenshots of the stacking bug in action. The first shows how each Eclipse adds +1/+1 on top of Nightfall. The second shows how a new creature only gets the single +1/+1 bonus.

Pests will never measure up to Fahrenheit. The most you could achieve is six damage per Pest, but then again, that is six cards (and 20% of your deck) used to boost your creatures. Sure, it would be nice, but you can definitely take more threatening cards.

i don't know, this bug could seiously help a drain grind deck. throw in a nightfall and a bunch of eclipses and your pests could be doing the damage a farenheit would be doing in a firebolt deck

but none of us are so low as to exploit these bugs are we? ;D ;D ;D

well i meant that they would replace they would serve the same purpose as farenheit, since in a firebolt grind deck farenheit is used to weaken the opponent so that it is easier to use the firebolts to finish them off. if you had even 3 pest out doing5 damage each that would be 15 damage. sure its not as much as Fahrenheit can do, but it is enough for the purposes of the deck.

That's crazy, yet powerful, yet doesn't provide a good enough bonus for people to actually fugg with.

This bug was fixed in the trainer I believe, but has not been resolved in the 1.15 update.
