I'm not sure if it's a separate bug, because it happened during a desync, but if it's indeed caused by desync then I hope it at least helps to fix it.
I was playing a duel, then my opponent played a number of creatures in a single turn (I talked with him after the game to find when exactly the desync happened and he told me this was the last normal turn), then I'm not sure, but I think I ended my turn very close to the time limit because a lot of things were happening (my oty devoured his creature, both of us generated a skeleton, scarab ate his skeleton, I rewinded his creature, and I've been talking with him in the meantime), then was the first turn of desync (opponent played once again the creatures he played last time and rewinded my scarab), then after a few more turns (which seemed normal, except that my opponent timed out) I played a butterfly effect on one skeleton and, as far as I remember, the next turn I destroyed his weapon (vampire dagger), and one turn later this happened when I tried to use the destroy ability:

Just to check what happens when I try to destroy the empty slot, I clicked it and it worked as if I clicked Cancel (the ability was wasted, but nothing was destroyed). The next turn I tried this it was no longer possible to target the empty slot.
Though, except from this targetable empty weapon slot, everything seemed normal (non-desynced) until I won. The desync was notable only during the time between it started and the moment my opponent timed out.
From his perspective I timed out approximately the moment he timed out from my perspective. I don't know what happened later from his perspective except from the fact he won.
