I currently play a deck were I use Fractal to spam Vampire cards.
I noticed that when I have say 20 Aether quantums, the 9 quantums that Fractal costs are substracted correctly - but when the Vampire cards are added to my hand, all the remaining Aether quantums vanish.
Can someone confirm this?

Read the card. It says, "All the remaining aether quanta is consumed"
