Pheonix + adrenaline [not a bug]

I was playing a lvl 5 and it brought a pheonix out, i sniped to make it ash and the next turn the ai used adrenaline on it, on his next turn he rebirthed it and the adrenaline stayed, however when i sniped it again it lost adrenaline, is this supposed to happen?

Poison counter on ash, Phoenix is revived, it has ash, it then gets killed, no poison. It's natural.

Phoenix to Ash: Death effect, adrenaline, infection and the like are lost
Ash to Phoenix: Transformation, abovementioned effects stay
