Quintessence on Ash

When playing a Top 50 match, the AI decided to use Quintessence on an Ash.  When it then used rebirth to turn it back into a Minor Phoenix, the card still displayed the on it.  However, it was targetable after it was reborn despite the symbol still appearing on the card (I ate it with my Otyugh).  I have no idea which the intended behavior is in that circumstance, but either way there's a bug happening there.  The symbol disappeared when it became Ash again.

When a phoenix turns to an ash, it's dead and creates a new creature, so any previous effects on the phoenix will not carry to ash, though when ash gets reborn to a phoenix, any effects on the ash should carry over. Sounds like a bug you found to me.

Seriously, this never happened to me.

I tried it in the trainer, my Oty ate it, then Quint, then Reborn. Nothing. Untargetable.

BUT THEN. The AI had played an Fire Buckler meanwhile and when the Phoenix re-died, the dissapeared. Unfortunately, i forgot that the Ash had 7 hp and my Oty 4. So, I don't know if it was targetable.
