As is known to those who play MTGO, there's this troll by the name of Grog, who rules over the shuffler. He's caught on to you, guys! Get some brooms and clear out the basement!
My deck is 33 cards, of which 13 are pillars.
That's slightly above 1/3, almost 40%.
In the last two days, I have played about 40 games.
I had to forfeit 21 of those games, because I didn't draw a pillar until the second turn, which sucks, especially against poison, mono-aether and earth-fire.
in the PVPs i played so far this day (12), I had 5 games in which I had ONE pillar in my opening hand. I had ONE game, where I held six pillars.
Now, I know this doesn't really make for some advanced heuristical analysis, but it REALLY sucks to have the opponent (both happened to me today!) go
tower tower tower tower poison poison poison
or
tower tower tower chryssa chryssa chryssa chryssa
while your 34 card scarab deck holds
bone wall (the only copy!)
parallel universe (the only copy!)
steal
scarab
scarab
scarab
blessing
and proceeds to draw
steal
scarab
blessing...
I really like this game, but instances like these happen way too often.
with 40% land, i should be drawing two to three pillars most of the time.
one, meh. four, yay. but i cant imagine that they're clumped this badly so often.
would there be a way for you to make the shuffle algo public?
i bet this isnt the first gripe about the shuffler, and it wont be the last :-D
