a mutated arctic squid which acquired, for instance, a 1 earth -> growth effect still has "3 water: freeze" written on the card when you mouse-over it.
possible resolution:
either
a) compress all descriptions so they fit on all cards and update them on the fly (better looking, but harder), or
b) remove all effect listings and descriptions from cards and show it "next to" the card rather than on it (crappier-looking but easier).

benefits: effect descriptions can be as long as needed (grow the box as necessary), and you can have multiple effects per creature (if needed), and easier to update on the fly than a pre-made card image.
note that this can now also include not only clicky things, but also effects active on the creature (e.g. freeze, immortality, current str/hp, etc)
note that in the above sample image, freeze only has 1 turn left to go.
