Fire Shield vs Fire Wall - AI Made an odd decision. https://elementscommunity.org/forum/index.php?topic=1821.msg15810#msg15810

Just wanted to report that the AI had a fire shield up.  The next turn it decided to cast a fire wall (improved fire shield which does the exact same thing, but costs 1 less element) up into play.

It does that.  I consider it far less worrying than when it has a Bone Wall out, plays a Skull Buckler, uses Steal on my Bone Wall twice, netting it 1 Bone Wall overall, and then playing the other Bone Wall in its hand.

That's not really a big issue. The AI goes crazy and just uses (generally) all the cards it can possibly use in its hand when it is about to lose. I do not think this kind of thing happens normally. The only problem I see in the above is the playing of the Skull Buckler. Otherwise the stealing of your Bone Walls and the playing of a new Bone Wall makes sense when one is making a last hurrah.

As for the Fire Wall/Shield thing, that is more of an issue if it isn't the AI's last turn before losing. I do believe other shields would be in the same situation in terms of only having a cost reduction.
