Negative attack creatures aren't affected by most of the shields.

Not a bug.

All creatures with negative attack ignore Fire Shield/Buckler and Singularity is no exception. Give it positive attack and it will get hurt like any other creature as the picture below shows (red thingy on right Singularity for having positive attack, health dropped from 7 to 5 (adrenaline)).
