Instant death with 100 life & bone wall vs FGs (twice within a few hours) https://elementscommunity.org/forum/index.php?topic=8658.msg100558#msg100558

If this is a de-Sync, one quick reply "de-sync" is all this deserves.

This has happened to me twice today. Both times so suddenly I wish I could have remembered more details.

In both cases I was playing with ScaredGirls Rainbow FG deck for rookies.
Aside: ScaredGirl, great deck and great motivating concept of beating many FG's with as few upgrades as possible.

--Game 1--
FG: Elidnis
I had a healthy Bone wall up + 2 Empathic bond.
100 life, with 4 poison that would chip me down, but enough creatures on the board that I would return to 100 life at the end of my turn every time.

I believe Elidnis had a weapon deployed (not sure if that matters) and I was eating creatures as they came, but was still only chipping away at Eldinis.

During Elidnis's turn (I feel like it was towards the end), I got the "you lost" screen.

--Game 2--
FG: Neptune
Again I had a bone wall deployed though was struggling to keep it at around 8 charges.
Had ~10 creatures on the board and was steadily regaining life (probably back up to 70).

Neptune had Poseidon deployed, with a Permafrost shield.
Maybe 1 creature on the board that I hadn't eaten yet.

Again, during what I feel was the end of Neptune's turn, I got the "you lost" screen.

-------------------
Common factors... both:
- occured recently, following the migration to www.elementsthegame.net
- were relatively long games with a bone wall deployed which was fluctuating up and down in charges, dropping as low as 4 and probably not going above 15 (guesses)
- against false gods
- opponent did not have enough damage on the board to take me out if all defenses were down
- opponent had few (to no) creatures, with no prospect of Momentum on them

you should read the game rule first

you lose when you cannot draw any more cards from your deck
we call it deck out

First Question: What was your Card Count?
Second Question: At anytime during this game session did you notice a card being drawn dissappear

1) Card count would be hovering at or around 1. With Eternity out and me regularly bouncing, I doubt I would have made this mistake to forget to bounce, but you know what, in a longer game odds are if it were to slip my mind it would happen then.

2) Interesting question.. I wonder what's going on in the back end. I don't recall this having ever occured; though once I have the Rainbow/Eternity setup going and I'm bouncing skeletons, I pay scant attention to my hand.

Either way the situation is 99% resolved. Thanks guys.

1) User error (80% likely despite my confidence in my not being an idiot and letting myself deck out)
2) De-sync? Not sure of the motives of question 2, but I doubt it's a known bug.

Feel pretty silly not thinking of the obvious but I guess you making a mistake is the last thing you'll suspect. Thanks for the fresh look guys.

By the way, de-sync only happens in PVP. I don't think you can de-sync against an AI.

This might be a long shot, and I might just be being stupid because I don't know the gods very well, but is there a chance he was lanced to death?

Both Neptune and Elidnis have no lances.

It was definitely deck-out, trust me. I've had that exact same experience, and was absolutely sure I rewound a creature, but couldn't be sure. I taped my games with a screen-recorder and played it back when the exact same thing happened, and sure enough, I forgot to rewind. Especially with a scaredgirl-type rainbow, where you're constantly clicking all over the place (FFQ, otyugh, firefly, fallen druid, skeleton), you'll sometimes just think you rewound without checking (make sure you have that 1 card indicator before you press space. Pressing space becomes automatic, so as soon as you think you're done, it's instinctual, and it's easy to subconsciously jump the gun.

For sure finkel.
As soon as it was suggested I was certain the likely culprit was uncovered.
Now how to go about deleting this thread so that my oversight isn't made increasingly public.  :))

Enjoying the playing guys! Great community on here btw. Talk about reponse time.
