Title: Electrum cost when testing vs. own Oracle deck
Post by: Arwulf on September 10, 2012, 03:57:39 pm
After making a new deck with the Oracle card you can playtest against it. First time is free, second time you get a notificationthat you lose 10 electrum. I am quite sure this is not supposed to happen. I think this happens only when you lose.

The message is just standard when losing period, though the electrum amount differs.  You should not actually lose any electrum from testing against your deck.  Have you confirmed that you did not lose any electrum?

I don't get the 'lost 10 electrum' message anymore. It springs to mind that it only happens just after I created the new deck. Since then I have logged out and in again. I might try to confirm it when next I get a new Oracle card.

If it is as you say, then this 'bug' can be downgraded to a notification error.

You probably fought an ai3 deck right before that.  Then the 10 :electrum loss is a leftover number from the previous loss.
It's similar to pvp Duel where whether you win or lose, the same :electrum amount is still there, but it doesn't change your actual amount

Mine shows me losing 20 :electrum when I haven't played Half-bloods in like a year...strange.

Anyways, I've never actually paid attention to whether or not that message appears immediately after building a new deck.  If that is the case then I don't think it's intended behavior.

20 :electrum is also the cost for the arena (of any league).

I paid 15 :electrum in Gold and Plat just now despite what it says at the top of the Arena menu.

You get a 5 :electrum refund on rating the deck, so the net loss is 15 :electrum. However, the loss details show up at the same time as the option to rate the deck, and so it shows a loss of 20 :electrum.

Ah that's right, I had forgotten about that.  Welp, that's one mystery taken care of then :)

Do you actually lose electrum or does it just say you do in the message?

I intentionally lost in a test of my oracle deck twice, it doesn't say I should lose electrum nor do I actually lose electrum. So I don't believe this bug currently exists, at least for me.
