I was testing things out in the trainer and just realized that scavenger and bioluminescence are treated as active skills - I always thought those were passive. Phoenix is an active skill as well... I can't see the logic here. This does explain why the mummy skill isn't displayed underneath a Mummy, though.

I also figured out that a Mummy can't be lobotomized. That has *got* to be a bug.
Hey, I was just wondering the same thing about the mummy today!

I *think* I saw a Gnome Gemfinder with an added active skill (paradox, I think), who was still producing earth. I wanted to recreate that situation in the trainer, but never saw it again... I did struggle with the active/passive skills as well... Can someone tell me what the exact difference is between those?

As for me... I'm gonna work on my passive skill! Sweet dreams!  ;)

Any text under the card icon in the playing field means it is an "active" skill. Any skill that exists that doesn't appear as text under a creature is passive.

As far as I'm aware, mutants never produce upgraded cards, so I don't know how this is possible.

Lobotomizer doesn't remove passive skills...
Of course it does. I play aether mono so I know - and lobotomizing Devourers is usually a good idea.
Disagree there, chief.  I play a Pest deck and they've been Lobo'd plenty of times--they lose burrow but they still  generate quanta for me.  I'm not sure which way is the bug (to remove passive or not) but I like it the way it is.

EDIT:  Lobo DOES remove quantum generation ability.  My bad.

Point conceded to Chemist.

Well that's odd. I just tried it against AI3 in the trainer: put one Devourer out, waited for something to lobotomize it (a Mind Flayer in this case) - and I got no more darkness quanta (it was my only darkness source).
