Discarding GotP (upped) only deals 10 damage

I don't know if it is a little buggy, but sometimes the opponent receives only 10 instead of 13 damage. I'm not 100% sure if he maybe dropped an unupped ghost from his own deck, but I have the feeling this could be a bug.

Same here, it happens alot and I find it hard to believe all those decks have unupped ghosts in them. I'll try and get a screenie but I'm usually a bit slow
ps. most of the times it works as intended and deals 13 damage.

Yep, I can confirm this with the AI occasionally. Not quite sure what's the trigger though and since it's unpredictable, I'm too lazy to try to get the screenshot. Not sure if this is related, I also had a PvP match where the opponent seems to be discarding my unupped GotP but then regain the lost health immediately.

noticed it too, but it's so hard to take a screenie because it happens occasionally and you have to be really fast.
Now it had it actually turned around, I played with unupped GotP, because I dont have upped Ghosts. So, he discarded an unupped ghost and took 13 dmg!

my favorite is if you have a hand full of gotp and have to discard but have the damage to win that turn, you can let the timer run out and win on both ends

EDIT* make that any turn you let the timer run out, you dont take any GOTP discard damage

It sounds like a bug but it would be nice to know what actually triggers it.

 I played vs a fire rush, He played all his cards and then I used GotP upped and nightmare, when he discarded he lost 10 HP.

I used nightmare the next 2 turns and he always lost 10 HP each time.

I confirm I saw this happening in the arena.

It seems to happen only with rainbow decks, but that's just a feeling, cant confirm that.

I think it happens when the AI discards a card that is NOT a Ghost of the Past (but maybe is in a slot that was of a GotP). I think so because the AI didn't replay a rewinded Elite Queen in the later turns when it had the qanta.

Btw, I saw it happening with duo decks aswell.

I've seen this happen tons of times, in the new (1.29) patch also. Versus a wide variety of decks.

Somehow it get's ignored though, while it could potentially cost you a match.

I saw something related twice today. AI discarded an upgraded Golden Nymph and got dealt 13 damage as if it discarded a GotP. I am sure of this because I was watching AI's hand (thx to nymph's ability).
