Disappearing incoming cards https://elementscommunity.org/forum/index.php?topic=28652.msg366182#msg366182

I've been experiencing the problem about incoming cards to the deck disappearing just before getting stacked.
It happens quite often. When I was playing at LV3, that problem happened about once in every three games.
I've already reported that problem to the game creater, but didn't get a reply except the automated one to acknowledge that they got the message and they are too busy to reply each one of them.
Anyway I'd like to know if that problem happens to the other people or to just me.
Or has it been already reported?
Needless to say, this problem gives me a big disadvantage in the game.
Maybe a speck issue of my PC? It's not a cheap speck with more than enough momory size though.

This had happened to me maybe once or twice , You see the card for about 2 seconds and when it "lands" in your hand it disappears. Also IIRC when it shows 7 cards on your hand you are unable to draw a card using Hourglass/Precognition/Sundial ( hand is full ).
No idea what causes this bug.

Thanks for the reply.
It happend to you but only just a couple of times.
I've corrected my typo, and it happened to me about once in every three games when I was spending all the time in LV3 to earn money.
I've been playing against FGs now, and that problem is not particulary annoying right now because of the frequency of that problem happening seems gone down.
Of course I've been setting the graphic on low.
Anyway It's good to know that this problem is not accidental.

There is another one I found.
When I try to lobotomize then cancel to do it, a quanta (for Electrocutor) is consumed instead of getting returned.
But this is another issue.

This is intentional. When you click on an effect, but then decide not to use it, you don't get the quanta back.

Edit: whoops. not adding 'not' to a sentence changes the meaning quite a bit.

No, once you click on the Lobotomizer/Electrocutor when it's flashing, you lose one or two quantum regardless of using the effect or not, which is odd.
I haven't noticed another similar example like Pulverizer, but this formula or rule is not appllied to Fractal.
When you click on Fractal, then decide not to use it, quantum will not be consumed.

What you're repporting is not a bug - it's the way it's supposed to be.

Elements handle cards in hand and activated skills differently. If you click on a card (such as Fractal) and decide not to use it, it goes back to your hand and you get your quanta back. On the other hand, if you activate a targeted permanent skill or effect (such as lobo, oty, anubis etc.) and cancel it, you'll loose both the quanta and the opportunity to use it on that turn. It also happens to Pulvy - go test it again and you'll see it (if not, then that is a bug!)

Yes, I thought that it would happen to other weapons.
Again, it's odd, but I guess that's the way it is. Just have to be careful when you try to use weapon effects, and don't waste quantum by just cancelling to use them.

But this issue is not my main concern.
I would like to solve the problem about incoming cards disappearing just before their going to be stacked.

I had this happen quite a few times (can remember at least 3).

Very annoying, lost me a game once where I really needed that steal!

The worst thing is that this bug (1st post) is still under "rapid draw problems", while it has nothing to do with it. I've found that it is usually associated to low fps.

Every once in a while, incoming cards freeze for a while in the middle of the screen.
And the smoothness of the process of incoming cards getting stacked seems a little rough.
In that process, if the CPU of the computer cannot handle it, maybe that problem happen.
I've been using a laptop PC to play this game.
Even though the CPU usage was like 14% during playing ELEMENTS at LV3, the processing speed does slow down a lot during the battles against FGs, particulary at the late stage with the whole bunch of creatures stacked in the field.
